Client Computing Support

COT offers a managed desktop device service for agencies to help meet their personal computing requirements. This rated service applies to standard desktops, workstations, laptops and tablets as defined in the Commonwealth’s Enterprise Standards. This service is provided at a fixed monthly cost to the agencies. Please note that since laptops, tablets, and workstations all have costs higher than the standard desktop, the additional costs for these devices will be passed through to the agency.

The Client Computing Support service covers the following:

  • Access to the Commonwealth Service Desk and 24-hour emergency support from COT
  • Support staff is available on-site Monday-Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm
  • Asset Management, Change Management and Configuration Management services
  • Setup, installation, configuration, preventative maintenance, upgrades and patching
  • Full Disk Encryption Capabilities
  • Operating System Support
  • Microsoft Office Professional suite support
  • Antivirus Suite Support
  • Desktop Firewall Capabilities
  • Virus and Spyware protection
