DNS (Domain Name Service)
COT provides DNS services for all qualified entities. This may include hosting of publicly available .com/.net/.org names properly registered elsewhere, as well as requests for names in the ky.gov domain. See also our Web Site Hosting service.

Since COT has been granted authority for the ky.gov domain, all requests for individual names within this domain can be requested directly via: http://dns.ky.gov
It may also be possible for the Commonwealth to host domain names purchased from an accredited commercial domain provider (.com / .net / .org), or restricted domain names such as .edu or .mil. Before attempting to acquire such names, please make certain they are permissible under the terms of the above linked Enterprise Standard 7010.
Pricing for domain names normally runs anywhere from $9 - $35 per year.
