The COT UNIX Support Team provides support for servers running either the Solaris or AIX operating systems. The UX10 service is designed to support a stand-alone UNIX server or one logical-partition (LPAR) that is part of a larger "partitionable" system.
Standard UNIX server support includes:
- Equipment installation
- Installation of the Commonwealth standard UNIX Operating System
- System performance monitoring
- Resolution of Operating System software problems
- Restoration of system files from backups, if requested
- System activity monitoring at either a minimal or batch level, if requested
- Resolution of hardware system problems
