The Commonwealth Office of Technology (COT) has established an Enterprise Project Management Office. To support its ability to track and administer large IT projects in executive branch agencies, the EPMO is acquiring a Project Management Information System (PMIS). The PMIS tool (CA Clarity from CA, Inc., formerly NIKU) will be used by executive branch state agencies and COT to evaluate, prioritize, and select appropriate information technology investments. Additionally, the PMIS tool will facilitate the exchange of project status information between agencies and staff, assist in the assessment of project progress and improve the visibility and management of the state’s portfolio of projects.
